What is the name of this movie?

this movie is about a little boy who goes and stays with his dad, but during his visit the expirience strange encounters from some kind of beast, also and indian helps the boy by giving him a rabits foot for goodluck and at the end the beast is down stairs in the basement and his dad puts dynamite in there and kills it...i have no idea what the movie is called but i think the indian calls the beast cag y or somthing like that....what is the name of this movie. please help
