Property loss from kitchen cabinets falling from wall in rental?

You are going to have to get with the owner and tell them they must pay the damage (or send a letter to them through the management company). Although their insurance won't cover the loss, they are still responsible for it (assuming you didn't overload the cabinet or something there is no way you are responsible). If they won't pay up you will have to take them to court. I suggest small claims court as it sounds like the amount isn't that much, but an obvious problem is it'll be very difficult to prove the value of the stuff you lost. Anyhow, you have to go after the owner for the $$$.
