PC giving me "Disk is not formatted" message. Please help!?

My SD Card is giving me the following message: The disk in Drive H is not formatted. Would you like to format it now? I have many irreplaceable pictures on the card and want to transfer them to my PC. I'm able to see them on my camera, but not on my TV or computer. How can I get around this issue without losing any pictures. Thanks in advance.
