My laptop is freakishly slow so I'm taking it to staples?

I'm taking it to staples to see if they can do anything cuz I tried everything. What should I expect from staples? Theyre not gonna delete any of my stuff will they? I've got pictures and stuff that's irreplaceable so if they restore my laptop that would be really bad. Is it worth the money to let them try to tune it up?
