How can i get my stuff back from someone out of state?
I've been trying for months to get my belongings back from an ex who lives out of state. I have written him several times on and off over the months requesting he return my stuff to me, i have been very nice about the situation and even my parents have mentioned to him a couple of times that i needed to get my stuff back from him. The problem though is that he will not speak to me no matter how many times i write him or what i say. It has been almost two years since we broke up, and like i said i have been trying for months and months on and off to get everything back to me. I don't know if i even have any rights to my stuff anymore since he has had it for so long. I am getting fed up with the whole situation and without me actually going to the state myself to retrieve it i am at a loss for what else i can do. I am willing to pay the expenses to have everything returned. It is unclear to me why he is refusing to deal with the situation or even respond to my attempts to contact him. I don't know if he is still bitter because i broke up with him or if he has already gotten rid of my things and just wont admit it. Whatever the reason, i just want my stuff back. Everything i owned at the time are the items in question (shoes, clothes, purses, yearbooks, boxes of irreplaceable pics from my childhood, dishware, small furniture items.) It may seem pointless to keep pursuing the situation after so long, but those items belong to me, they are mine, i want them back. What if anything can i do about this?????
